“Every song on this project is a different scenario about me and the toxic love connection I’ve shared with a woman for a long time. Through this project, I’m trying to tell her to trust her intuition and to leave her current situation to be with me because I feel that she deserves so much better.” shares Kahlil in a recent interview.
Everything about Kahlil Simplis, from his image to his music, reflects his artistry. As well as representing complete authenticity. Initially, his upbringing was primarily focused on his dream of playing basketball. Unfortunately those aspirations came to an end due to injuries he developed as an athlete. During his recovery, Kahlil fell into a deep depression, and in his darkest hours, he resorted to writing poetry.
In fact, music became the outlet he needed. It required him to process his emotions and express how he truly felt. Assisting him in overcoming his depression. As a result, he found his sanctuary in the studio and hasn’t looked back since. His journey and life experiences are reflected in his music. He hopes to inspire his fans to never stop working and to avoid life’s distractions in order to excel and reach their goals. He himself saw the heights he could reach if he remained disciplined and focused.
Kahlil stays consistent with his creativity. In his spare time, he assists music directors in creating treatment for music videos. In addition to being a big believer in self-healing and self-love. Overall, he uses meditation, crystal/chakra love, ancestral healing, and sound frequency healing. His hobbies keep him fluid and open-minded, allowing him to create freely and have complete trust in his craft.
