Lily Allen will be temporarily replaced by Mabel on her BBC podcast while she undergoes treatment at a trauma clinic.
Allen hosts the Miss Me? podcast with her longtime friend Miquita Oliver, but recently announced that she would be stepping back from work after the breakdown of her marriage to actor David Harbour.
The BBC has confirmed that several guest co-hosts, including Mabel, comedian Simon Amstell, and Rizzle Kicks member Jordan Stephens, will fill in for Allen during her time away.
Mabel will join Oliver for the episodes airing on January 16 and 20, while Stephens will appear on the January 23 and 27 editions. Amstell will take over for the January 30 and February 3 episodes.
The 39-year-old singer checked into a clinic costing £8,000 a week after admitting she was nearing a breakdown following her separation from her Stranger Things star husband in December.
She told listeners on the podcast, “I’ve been spiralling and spiralling, and it’s got out of control.”
Allen went on to say that she would be “going away” for a few weeks, reassuring fans that she remains sober after giving up alcohol five years ago.
During her stay at the U.S. residential retreat, the singer is expected to take part in both individual and group therapy sessions, follow a healthy diet, give up her phone, and spend time walking outdoors as part of her recovery.
