Harry Styles has officially secured the title of the UK’s biggest album of 2026 so far with his fourth studio release, "Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally." In only four weeks on the chart, the project has climbed to the top of the year to date rankings, earning an impressive 226,000 combined units based on Official Charts Company figures.
The album’s arrival in March gave Styles the strongest opening week of his career. Even more notably, it delivered the biggest debut for a male solo artist in almost ten years, a milestone not reached since Ed Sheeran released ÷ (Divide) in 2017. The success also carries over to the singles chart, where the album’s lead track "Aperture" currently ranks as the biggest new British single release of the year.
Styles looks set to continue this run as he prepares to head out on his Together, Together tour this summer, which will include a landmark 12 night residency at London’s Wembley Stadium. Many in the industry are now watching closely to see whether the album can achieve the same long term success as his 2022 release Harry’s House.
2026 is shaping up to be a strong year for UK artists. British acts have reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart in 13 out of the first 14 weeks. Olivia Dean came close to the top spot, with her BRIT Award winning album The Art of Loving sitting just 2,600 units behind Styles at Number 2.
Other notable British milestones include:
Robbie Williams achieved his 16th Number 1 album with BRITPOP, allowing him to overtake The Beatles for the most chart topping albums in UK history.
Mumford & Sons saw their album Prizefighter become the UK’s 1,400th Official Number 1 LP.
EsDeeKid, a rising star from Liverpool, delivered the biggest rap album of the year so far with his debut Rebel.
While British artists continue to lead at the top, global names are still making an impact. The Weeknd with The Highlights and Sabrina Carpenter with Man’s Best Friend remain steady inside the Top 5, while BTS and Zach Bryan continue to appear across the 2026 chart rankings.
