Dame Dash Slams Jay-Z's New York Subway Pop-Up For Reasonable Doubt

2026 has been a milestone year for Jay Z, with major celebrations marking the anniversaries of Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint. From special performances at Yankee Stadium to pop up events across New York City, fans have had plenty to celebrate. At the same time, the festivities have also attracted criticism from some of Hov's longtime rivals, including people he recently mentioned during his Roots Picnic freestyle. As shared by 2Cool2Blog on Instagram, one of the latest voices to speak out was Dame Dash.

The former Roc A Fella executive was spending time with music executive Ray Daniels and several others when the conversation shifted to advertising and marketing. Dame eventually brought up the Reasonable Doubt pop ups, leading into a passionate criticism of the campaign.

"What the fk are we doing at a train station?" he expressed. "I haven't been on the subway since I was, like, ten. I don't even know what it looks like. It's in Brooklyn. Think about this: they made the n*a do that and walk down." The clip ends shortly after those remarks, leaving many viewers to believe there was much more to the conversation.

From his comments, Dame appeared to suggest that the Roc Nation founder's anniversary campaign was more about creating an image than reflecting his real lifestyle. Given the history between the two former business partners, the criticism is hardly unexpected. Their relationship has been strained for years, with Dame continuing to publicly challenge Jay Z long after their split.

Dame Dash's Jay-Z Diss Track

More recently, Dame Dash teased a diss track aimed at Jay Z after Hov referenced him during his Roots Picnic freestyle. The preview failed to impress many fans, and Cam'ron even joined in by making fun of Dame. He also became one of the people mentioned in the unreleased track.

Dame has criticized Reasonable Doubt on previous occasions, so his latest remarks about the anniversary pop up events are consistent with his past opinions. Even so, he is far from the only person online who has been questioning Jay Z throughout the anniversary celebrations.

Time will tell whether Dame's latest comments inspire more criticism from others or if he will continue taking shots at his former collaborator on his own. Regardless, the ongoing back and forth has kept plenty of attention focused on Jay Z's anniversary campaign and the conversations surrounding it.
