Jonas Brothers launched their Burning Up revival in New York on Thursday night (20.08.26), giving fans at Madison Square Garden their first live performance of their upcoming single Listen When Sad.

The song is set to arrive on streaming platforms next Friday (28.08.27), bringing the trio back toward the musical style that helped establish them as mainstream stars.

Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas began the concert with a set centered around the Burning Up era, performing early hits such as That’s Just The Way We Roll, Burnin’ Up, S.O.S. and Lovebug. They later moved through highlights from their two decade career, including Love Me To Heaven, Sucker and Only Human, giving fans a mix of newer favorites and classic tracks.

For the new release, the brothers once again worked with producer John Fields, who was behind their early albums and played an important role in shaping the sound of their first era. Several musicians and engineers who contributed to those recordings also returned for the project.

Jonas Brothers said: “There’s something special about going back to one of the most pivotal eras in our musical journey.

“Listen When Sad reunites us with John Fields for the first time since 2009. To us, it feels like a piece of our heritage channeled through who we are today.”

Following the strong response to their Madison Square Garden shows, the group is taking the revival on the road with a much larger North American run. The Burning Up Tour All Over Again will visit 45 cities across the US and Canada, featuring songs from their early years before moving into a second set highlighting music from the last 20 years.

The tour will get underway September 25 at TD Garden in Boston, with additional performances scheduled in Toronto, Washington, D.C., Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle and Denver. The final show is set for December 21 at Prudential Center in Newark. Magnus Ferrell, Franklin Jonas and All Time Low are scheduled to join the brothers on selected dates.
