Virginia’s own Ayye Luv drops a new EP entitled US. The 8 song project shows the DMV representer in his black revolutionary bag. Dropping at the end of Black History Month, US is a perfect closing to February. His poignant lyrics speak to the tough obstacles that many black men face. Obviously, Ayyee Luv is educated, and he wants to pass the knowledge to his fans. With impactful interviews opening his tracks, the DMV rapper has found a way to mix his creativity with his teachings. On his track “T.A.E.,” he raps, “been under pressure my whole life, I never thought that I wouldn’t make it.” This is the story of growing up as a black man in the United States.
Ayye Luv and his Cool Clientele Collective are looking to have a big year in 2021. In an area with diverse artists like IDK, Cordae, and Shy Glizzy, Ayyee Luv is finding his way through his own lane. Drawing inspiration from artists like Wale and Nipsey Hussle, he never wastes an opportunity to speak from the heart. His lone feature from MD’s own Innanet James is a stoner smash. The smooth track comes with a verse that makes you feel like you should instantly roll-up. The impressive EP proves that Ayyee Luv is coming into his own as an artist. Look out for more work from the inspiration bar spitter in 2021.
