Crenshaw’s own Chief Will is has been hustling for 5 years in the video production game. His strong upbringing in a two-parent household gave him all the tools he needed to succeed. Hard work, dedication, and awareness have all kept him at the top of his game. His admiration for the arts has provided him the opportunity to work with some of the hardest acts in the game. Chief Will, aka Wilson Anyanwu, is bound to shine this year.
Influences like Kobe, Spike Lee, and other industry legends helped Chief grow over time. His work even led him to connect with west coast legends like Mustard and Nipsey Hussle. The content he received that day would be some of the only content between Nip and the famed producer.
“[Mustard] had been admiring my work and invited me to be his personal photographer/videographer during his time at the super bowl. I spent the majority of that year filling that role in all his creative endeavors,” he explained.
“Nothing beats that night at the studio between Mustard and Nipsey,” he said. “Just being there first had to capture that was amazing. Mustard had been trying to connect with Nip for a minute, and so for me to be there was just surreal timing.”
