On April 27, Quavo hopped on Instagram to hint at a major move. “Warriors Never fold," he captioned a throwback photo of himself alongside Takeoff, per Complex. "Jobs Not Finished. TAKEOFF ALBUM. UNC N PHEW 2. LAST ????? ALBUM. REAL MIGO BLOOD RUN IN MY VIENS!!! AINT NO NEW CHAPTER JUST THE NEXT ONE!!!”
It did not take long for Offset to respond, posting a 2021 photo of all three members together. “On dat!!!” he wrote. The back and forth quickly sparked speculation that a Migos reunion could be in motion.
The last full project the trio released together was Culture III in 2021. After that, Quavo and Takeoff linked up for Only Built for Infinity Links. Just a month later, Takeoff was tragically shot and killed outside a bowling alley in Houston.
Offset and Quavo have experienced their share of tension over the years, but more recently, things appear to have smoothed out between them. During an appearance on 7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony last August, Offset shared that they still keep in touch regularly.
“It be the internet trying to do some old sht, but with us, it ain’t about that,” he said at the time. “We gotta holla at each other in the day, at the end of the day, man. That’s family at the end of the day, man. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime. In the day, a n*** ain’t finna play with him, or a n**** ain’t finna play with me.”
Offset later appeared on Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, where he addressed and dismissed the long standing rumor that Saweetie played a role in the fallout between him and Quavo.
