Paul McCartney Shares Memories Of Meeting Elvis Presley For The First Time

Nothing But Thieves have officially announced their new album ‘Stray Dogs’ alongside the release of an anthemic new single titled ‘Evolution’ and details of the biggest headline tour of their career so far.

The announcement arrives after the Southend band celebrated their 10th anniversary last year. Marking the beginning of a new era, ‘Stray Dogs’ is set for release on September 25 through RCA and Sony Music.

The project will serve as the band’s fifth studio album and follows 2023’s chart topping release ‘Dead Club City’, as well as earlier records ‘Moral Panic’, ‘Broken Machine’ and ‘Nothing But Thieves’.

For the new album, the group explained that they returned both physically and creatively to where everything began. They recorded the project at Angelic Studios, the same place where they made their debut album, while revisiting the DIY mindset that shaped the band in their early days.

Unlike previous releases created while touring, Nothing But Thieves spent five dedicated months writing together in one place. According to the band, the process resulted in their most cohesive and freeing body of work to date, with songs centered around togetherness and human connection.

The band first hinted at their return last week through a YouTube livestream and a string of mysterious posters teasing the single ‘Evolution’. The track delivers high energy from start to finish, blending soaring vocals with driving guitars while exploring themes of hope, nostalgia and unity.

“It’s a song that’s not too concerned about finality. I think imperfection and authenticity is becoming ever more valuable and it’s definitely something we’re drawn to,” the band shared.

“We’ve spent some time trying to work out what’s real and tangible about who we are and how we use our time. The people we travel the world with, the human moments on stage, the connection we make with those who come to our shows. That’s real… It’s a bit of a love letter to the people in our world in that way.”

To celebrate the album, Nothing But Thieves will embark on an enormous headline tour across the UK, Europe and North America in 2027. Before that, the group will spend this summer supporting Biffy Clyro during their outdoor concerts in London and Edinburgh, alongside appearances at multiple festivals.

The tour begins in Paris on January 12 before moving through cities including Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Vienna and Berlin throughout Europe. UK and Ireland dates follow in February, featuring major arena shows at London’s O2 and Manchester’s Co Op Live, before the band heads to North America shortly after.
