Paramount+ has confirmed that OZZY: NO ESCAPE FROM NOW, a feature-length documentary capturing the final six years of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne’s life, will debut on October 7. Created in collaboration with the Osbourne family, the film gives a deeply personal look at the singer’s health battles and his determined effort to return to the stage one last time.

The project covers the serious late-night fall Ozzy experienced in February 2019, which required multiple corrective surgeries and forced him to cancel his farewell tour. It includes open and emotional discussions with Ozzy, his wife Sharon, and their children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, who reflect on the way his chronic pain and Parkinson’s diagnosis changed his life. Aimee recalls in the documentary, “He was in hospital for weeks... that was his biggest heartbreak.”

Even while facing these challenges, the film shows how a collaboration with Post Malone on the track Take What You Want reignited Ozzy’s creative spirit. “It got me out of the blues. It helped me. That was the best medicine I ever had,” Ozzy explains in the documentary. That renewed energy led to the creation of his albums Ordinary Man and the Grammy-winning Patient Number 9, both of which featured in the film.

OZZY: NO ESCAPE FROM NOW was not originally meant to serve as a posthumous release, but following Ozzy’s passing on July 22, 2025, it now stands as a moving tribute to his strength, perseverance, and artistry. The documentary also features tributes from close friends and collaborators, including Tony Iommi, Slash, and James Hetfield, who share heartfelt reflections on his life and legacy.
